He worked as a consultant for general surgery, digestive system and endoscopy, and was responsible for the surgical departments and the medical director of Al-Mowasat Hospital in Dammam for nineteen years. He took the British lead in General Surgery in 1989 and obtained degrees in minimally invasive surgery from Tuft University in America and trained in intensive care in endoscopic surgery from several European countries.
