Then he moved to the United States of America and joined the Ohio Medical University in Toledo, Ohio in 1993 to obtain a specialty in Pediatrics. Dr. Al-Imam continued his scientific career and joined the Children’s National Medical Center and George Washington University in Washington in 1996 AD, where he obtained a specialty in respiratory and lung diseases in children, and then worked at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington as a consultant in the respiratory and allergy diseases department until 2001 AD. Dr. El-Imam then moved on to become the Medical Director of the Pediatric Asthma and Allergy Center, and an Associate Consultant of Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine at the University of Kentucky before joining IMC in 2006, where he is currently the Chair of the Center of Excellence for Child Health. Dr. Zuhdi holds the American Board of Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonology, Fellowship of the American Academy of Pediatrics and scientific advisor in Kentucky, and membership of the American Thoracic Society and the Saudi Thoracic Society. Dr. Al-Imam has a special interest in asthma and allergies, breathing disorders and cystic fibrosis in children. He has participated in several scientific research and articles in specialized scientific journals. He has also won appreciation awards from American and Arab scientific bodies. The respiratory and lung diseases clinic in the Center of Excellence for Child Health provides integrated medical care for children and young people up to the age of sixteen who complain of chronic cough, asthma, shortness of breath, cystic fibrosis and other breathing disorders.
