ordanian Board in Family Medicine Dr. Khaled Alem received his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery in 1990 from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah. In 1991, he joined the residency program at the Department of Surgery at King Abdulaziz Hospital in Jeddah, then worked as a medical coordinator for emergency cases at King Abdulaziz University until 1993. He joined the family medicine program from 1993 to 1997. He was appointed as a specialist in family medicine at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah and obtained the Jordanian Board in 1996 and the Arab Board in Family Medicine in 1997. He worked as a family medicine consultant at King Abdulaziz Medical City for the National Guard in Jeddah from 1998 to 2005 and was distinguished by his administrative and clinical skills. Then he was appointed as Head of Medical Education for Primary Health Care at King Khalid National Guard Hospital in the Western Sector. He is also a trainer for the Arab Board and the Saudi Board in Family Medicine, where he was chosen as the best teacher of family medicine for the years 2003 and 2004.
